Can you be more specific? What do you want spamassassin to check about
it? It should already check the URL itself against surbl.org, uribl.com,
etc.

Or are you suggesting the the triple-t in htttp:// is inhibiting SA's
ability to understand that it's a URL?

If you're suggesting having it follow the link and download the image
for analysis, that's very unwise. This is a great way for spammers to
track what messages are being processed, by using custom URLs (ie: web
bugs). It's also a great way for them to detect what IPs appear to be
fetching them automatically for analysis, and start returning different,
potentially slow to process, information to those servers and DoS them.
