Further reconfiguration of MTA can handle this issues. Denying any other mail connections while load is high is also advisable. Delaying those connections is also another alternative while the server load is not in normal. You might want to check that email and restrict SA to scan email who has _THIS_ email size only and increase her SA children perhaps would somehow help.
