Thunderbird is a good email client. No fancy icons (well there are a
few, but those can be represented as text), but it has all the rest you
really need. It asks if you want to send your mail as html or plain text
(preferable) and it places the cursor ready for you to type, under the
message you are responding to. There are other programs of course. The
main thing is to stay away from lookout and incredimail (which on top of
all the other nuisances is also a source of spyware). Check your
computer with Hitman Pro 2 and you will see what I mean.
