We do follow RFCs, and have a number of methods (not returning an answer, returning REFUSED etc). But you’d be surprised how long some admins do not act… In these cases (ie consistent query volumes way above the limits, and prolonged times of inactio), returning a „hi“ result is the last option. This has been the case for maybe 10 or so years. — Matthias
