Just tried that in main.cf, but no difference. No queue ID until after the connect line, just before the SPF tests. I wonder if the confMILTER error mitigates against it.
It also occurs to me that since a high proportion of connection attempts are spammy and are dropped almost immediately there could be a higher overhead?
