hi,

i am using the following setup:

debian sarge (testing)
qmail (netqmail 1.05)
bincimap-1.2.11final
qmail-scanner-1.24
Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.2
maildrop-1.8.0
razor-agents-2.67

the ***SPAM*** text is never placed in the Subject. but i know
spamassassin is reading my local.cf because if i change my
required_hits, then the new setting shows up in the "required" portion
of the X-Spam-Status: header entry.

---------from a spam mail header------------------
X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=8.6 required=2.0
X-Spam-Level: ++++++++

--------------my complete local.cf------------------
required_hits 2.0
rewrite_header Subject ***SPAM***
report_safe 1
ok_languages en
ok_locales en
# use_pyzor 1 (Only if you have installed pyzor)
use_dcc 1
use_razor2 1
# trusted_networks 212.17.35.
dns_available yes

---------------------------------------

another strange thing is that if i use the new convention and use
"required_score n.nn" then it always takes the default score of 5
irrespeective of what score i give and so i had to revert to
"required_hits" although i know it is deprecated.

has anyone come across these 2 peoblems?
any help will be much appreciated!
i can provide any additional info you may need to help me in this.
tia,
-prash.
