I was having the same problem. I found that I had inadvertantly removed chickenpox.cf from my custom ruleset. Once it went back in, it caught many of the stock scams. I then added mangled.cf and I seem to have gotten rid of them. These stock scam messages also tend to score low in Bayes... many of them had Bayes_00 because they tend to be filled with legitimate business language. It's important to train the Bayes database with these so, at worst, they end up Bayes neutral.

Subject: Investor and Stock spam

I have been lurking for a while and finally come up for air. I recently upgraded to 3.0.2, added appropriate rulesemporium.com rulesets (removed the old 2.6X rules), and modified some scores for our clients. We are still getting a ton (100-150) investor/stock spams a day. Just checking to see if anyone has seen this problem and written a rule to score these emails. If not, I will write my first rule, test it, and then send it to rulesemporium/spamassassin list for any recommendations.

Thanks and happy spam hunting.

Steve
