Ya, I don't get the whole thread. If one wants seamless upgrades and backwards compat for 10 years one should stick to windows, Solaris, AIX etc.

Apache 2.0 and perl6 adoption is severely stunted because of major backwards compat issues.


I'm sorry, I know this is getting OT but why do people keep bringing up perl6 adoption? Perl6 hasn't even been released! Besides which, Perl6 will include a translator and a Perl5 compatibility mode.
