BTW, (slightly off topic), I also hate the way that clicking on a link
within Outlook will take over an existing MS Explorer window when I'd rather it open a new window and not interfere. Is there a way to change the default behavior for this?
In OE you can shift-click to get a new window, but this doesn't seem to work in Outlook.
Best I've found so far is to try to remember to open an empty IE window, *then* click the link.
even better, ditch IE, and use firefox as your default browser. you can configure it to open up new windows (or tabs) when triggered by external links.
