I recently upgraded to SA3.0.1 but I still only seem to be able to catch between 55% and 70% of spam. I read a thread started by Florian Effenberger and there was advice that he should upgrade Net::DNS. So I ran spamassassin -D --lint and it said debug: Net::DNS version is 0.26, but need 0.34. So I tried to upgrade to the latest version which is 0.48. But it had a dependency of Digest HMAC which had a dependency of Digest SHA. So I upgraded alll of these modules and got the Net::DNS test to work. Did a make install. then reran spamassassin -D --lint. Unfortunately I still got debug: Net::DNS version is 0.26, but need 0.34. I've tried to find how to independently determine the version number of Net::DNS but can't work it out. Any help would be appreciated. btw merry Christmas.
Install it manually from the tar.gz instead of from CPAN
