If you do those two things you should have SpamAssassin detecting a lot of spam with the default configuration, even without Bayes. If your network tests and Net::DNS are working you should see many spam hits on the SURBL and RBL rules. As described at: http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/MailingLists You can find archives of this list at: http://news.gmane.org/thread.php?group=gmane.mail.spam.spamassassin.general http://mail-archives.apache.org/eyebrowse/SummarizeList?listId=275 http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=spamassassin-users&r=1&w=2 You can search the archives at gmane, and the trust path issue is discussed repeatedly. http://search.gmane.org/search.php?query=&group=gmane.mail.spam.spamassassin.general The SpamAssassin FAQ may also be of general help: http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/FrequentlyAskedQuestions Hope this helps, Jeff C. -- Jeff Chan mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.surbl.org/
