Well is it possible that the above warnings are coming because the cf files in /usr/share/spamassassin are that of the old 2.6X version and not that of 3.x.
I have tested this by deleting the folders contents and re-installing SA - same problem.
Maybe its because of too old Perl modules that this error message occurs?
