Ralf, We don't greylist to reduce resource usage. It is just an extra layer to catch spammers that are "on the line." This has proven to be very effective. We don't want to delay email that is very likely not to be spam (less than 3 points) so we don't greylist all email. However, we still want the spam stopping benefits of greylisting.
