Since this server supplies email for a limited number of users, we made the decision to be aggressive in blocking and then allow anyone who gets legitimate email blocked. They just have to get a hold of us. We are small enough that it is very easy to contact us. If it were a different situation, then a different policy would apply.


I work at a very large university (NCAA Div. 1) and the policy there is a just a bit more complicated than my little domain. There are privacy and research considerations that I just don't have to consider. They have implemented Brightmail on a voluntary basis but implement no MTA blocking.
