I've followed these instructions to upgrade to 3.0.0 on my Ensim based linux server: http://forum.ev1servers.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49078&highlight=3.0.0.


It compiles/installs correctly, but has errors in /var/maillog when scanning messages. It appears to intermittently work. Any help would be great! Compiled from source Sep 21 19:59 Mail-SpamAssassin-current.tar.gz from the spamassassin.apache.org site. Ensim uses a chroot'ed directory for some virtual sites, so the passwd files for those sites are in special places. Also, it sometimes treats usernames as "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" to allow a single username to exist on multiple sites.
