Thanks - With the light of day today helping, I got it to work. I didn't understand exactly what needed to be in the config file - I had way too much information copied from the main script. It's now working fine with all the rulesets! Thanks to those that helped. noticed I lost the bash "mail" command - Is that related, i.e. do I >> have a >> bad bash?? > > > What OS is this? Yes, I had to reinstall mailx - not sure how it got deleted, and I didn't know the name of the package. This is Debian, and a search for "mail" returns way too many things! Anyway MAIL is working again, which also means the RDJ notifications are working. I also got Pyzor working, so with that, RDJ sets, and Bayes, I'm a very happy SA camper! - John
