Hi,
When multiple shards need recovery (eg after a Solr instance has
crashed after running out of memory) they all start recovering at the
same time.
Is there a way to tell Solr to only recover a set maximum number of
shards at a time?
Our Solr machines are a little squeezed for storage currently, and
while we wait for more (and curse at the AI companies' effect on nvme
prices), it would be very convenient if I could say "recover at most 3
shards at a time", to avoid running out of storage during full-copy
recovery.
Or even better, if I could say: "recover at most 3 shards using
full-copy at the same time".
We are currently employing a workaround where other replicas are
temporarily moved to a different disk during recovery, but it's not a
workaround I am very comfortable with.
