If that works, that would be great, but it needs to be documented somewhere, 
especially for folks upgrading to 9.x. I think our doc standard is a little 
higher than “look at the source code”. :-)

I’ll see if I can bang out some documentation and make a Jira for it. It looks 
like the existing documentation, such as it is, is in solr/modules/*/README.md.
