UpdateHandler merges count

Hi,

I wanted to check the merges happening in my index to relate it to CPU
usage. I checked out this metric UPDATE.updateHandler.merges.count on this
path ?type=update&entry=updateHandler, But it returns 0.

Should I be looking somewhere else?
