Hi, For my experience is not a good idea to have two instances in the same server, due to high consume of disk that solr have if can cause cpu increase or process thread of solr increase and bad performance of the solr cluster. I believe if you try with only one instance per machine, reducing from 8 to 4, you can reach a good performance, if not try with one instance with 8 servers but one instance per server.
You can review another questions also how number of request, number of writing on indexes, or size of the indexes that can affect but at first i test with one instance per server. I hope that help you. Kind regards. ________________________________ ________________________________ ________________________________ De: HariBabu kuruva <hari2708.kur...@gmail.com> Enviado: viernes, 23 de abril de 2021 8:39 Para: users@solr.apache.org <users@solr.apache.org> Asunto: Solr High Memory and CPU Usage Hi everyone, We are using solr 8.1.1. We see memory and CPU are highly utilized (~ 90%) for all the solr nodes every day. We have solr cluster of 8 servers. Each server has 2 instances running. Please let me know how to proceed and what actions to take. Let me know if more information is needed. -- Thanks and Regards, Hari Mobile:9790756568
