Did you ever manually build sogo and/or sope? You must have old libraries lying 
somewhere.

Hello Francis,

thanks for your response. I could hardly remeber but I do build sogo and sope manually. You were right there has been some old libraries. After a make uninstall from the sope src directory everything seems to be working now.
