Hi,
firstly, I would like to thank the inverse team for maintaining these
great products, OpenChange and SOGo, and especially for providing the
source code.
Our customer uses an old SBS with Exchange at the moment. I wonder if it
is possible to
- install a second DC using Samba4 (we did that for testing purposes
already)
- install SOGo on that Samba4 server (we did that too, for testing
purposes already, works)
- install OpenChange on the same Samba4 server, with the target to use
Outlook [>> And here's the problem: the automatic AD upgrade does not work.]
- slowly migrate account by account from Exchange to SOGo/OpenChange
Our AD has already some Exchange extensions, of course, for the working
Exchange server. The deployment script stops with an error message:
error while provisioning the Exchange configuration objects (68): Entry
CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=lan,DC=mydomain,DC=de already
exists
It is right. This entry exists already - I can see it in the
Sysinternals Active Directory Explorer.
But when I try to create a user, as described in the setup guide, I get
another error message:
_ldb.LdbError: (32, 'Failed to find GUID for CN=Mailbox Store
(LIN1),CN=First Storage
Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=LIN1,CN=Servers,CN=First Administrative
Group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=First Organization,CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=lan,DC=mydomain,DC=de')
Now, this is different from my existing entries.the CN=First
Organisation should be CN=MYCOMPANY. And, CN=First Administrative Group
should be CN=erste administrative gruppe, and CN=LIN1 should be
CN=SERVER, ...
I suppose there is no easy solution for this, but I would love to try
out to solve it, maybe by changing the user creation scripts, or
something like that. However, this might be not the only piece of code
accessing the GUID - maybe (sure?) the OpenChange software uses these AD
filters whenever authenticating a user.
My questions:
Can these AD filters be changed globally?
Does anyone know if it is advisable or at least possible to reuse an
existing AD tree including exchange entries for OpenChange/SOGo? Without
destroying any currently working MS Exchange functionalities?
Thank you in advance, whoever will answer, and whatever the answer(s)
will be...
