This is a major problem for us. We are in the process of migrating our customers from Ubuntu 10.04 LTS to 12.04 LTS at the moment. Due to the Samba 4 irregularities in the Debian packages this is taking longer than hoped. I responded to your earlier question about which versions you should drop and had no idea that *current* Ubuntu LTS server versions would be included.
