IE 8 had Enhanced Security settings, which we've removed from our
Windows 2008R2 Server for other reasons (such as displaying remote
application content - i.e., links to other apps within an accounting app)
I'd suggest looking at removing that in IE 8 and standardizing the
security options (admins to users)

Not sure how it worked under IE 8 or 2.0.5a but I believe it worked correctly.
with IE8 and 2.0.6 (from sogo.nu) the bug is present.
