Hello again, I've tried sorting this out, but when I've added the suggested settings to dovecot it causes IMAP logins to fail.
My guess is the passing comment about limiting the changed permissions to the sogo process, but I've no idea how to do that. I tried adding user=sogo and uid=<sogoid> but it didn't seem to work. Could someone provide an example of how they've done that in dovecot please?
