I think you should be able to find the delivery of the invitation email in your mailserver log.
by default invitation are not sent by mail.

SOGoAppointmentSendEMailNotifications
Parameter used to set whether SOGo sends or not email notifications to meeting participants. Possible values are :
• YES – to send notifications
• NO – to not send notifications
Defaults to NO when unset.

Otherwise you are right.
