No need. This was on Windows 10 x64, working with KVM64 processor type,
so that works for me.

I did a little testing with QEMU....
Physical CPU: Athlon II 640
QEMU CPU types: Opteron G3, Host, KVM 64
result: All worked fine
Physical CPU: I7-4790K
QEMU CPU types: KVM64
result: Worked fine
QEMU CPU types: Host, Haswell-NOTSX
result: Panic on Blue Iris startup
It would be interesting to keep notching the Intel CPU types down
until
it worked.
