The problem is that you need a different qemu-kvm package for live snapshots. At the moment the only way to get this package is building it from the srpm: http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/enterprise/6Server/en/RHEV/SRPMS/qemu-kvm-rhev-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.3.src.rpm (It's a drop-in replacement).
