Hi, yes, the easiest way to create a new template is to take template for the previous version of the same distro as a basis. For example, here is how debian-10 was initially created: https://src.openvz.org/projects/OVZT/repos/debian-10.0-x86_64-ez/commits/6aedbfeb50f42391d2624b44e015e24899a88a4f<https://src.openvz.org/projects/OVZT/repos/debian-10.0-x86_64-ez/commits/6aedbfeb50f42391d2624b44e015e24899a88a4f#os_packages_0> (though note that there were some more changes in packages after that). And yes, we do have plans to create this template soon for the official repos. ________________________________ From: users-boun...@openvz.org <users-boun...@openvz.org> on behalf of Hugo Cloez <h...@omgserv.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 17, 2021 12:13 AM To: OpenVZ users <users@openvz.org> Subject: [Users] How to make a new ez-template (like debian 11)
I'm looking to create a debian 11 template, or other systems but I can't find specific methods. How to know which packages to integrate? Should I base it on previous versions? When I try to upgrade the debian 10 template to 11 during the cache creating I get this error: Error: /usr/sbin/vzctl exec2 6ce30f5f-1a77-46ed-9dec-3f951e05a9fe "bash /vzttMXdb7t/script" error Would you have any advice to give me to make it? Or else, debian 11 will be available soon in the repos? Thanks a lot ! Hugo
