Hello, All!
# uname -a
Linux hardware-node 2.6.32-042stab126.1 #1 SMP Wed Nov 15 20:14:46 MSK
2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
# grep NO_HZ /boot/config-$(uname -r)
CONFIG_NO_HZ=y
During backup of ploop containers via network:
https://openvz.org/Ploop/Backup#File-based_backup
I see in /var/log/messages file:
Dec 13 02:14:03 hardware-node kernel: [873287.257827] NOHZ:
local_softirq_pending 100
Red Hat article https://access.redhat.com/solutions/62637 is closed,
so I see in internet recommendations add "nohz=off" to kernel boot line.
"Messages should disappear and it should improve performance a bit."
http://forum.odin.com/threads/nohz-local_softirq_pending-100.337205/
Linux Kernel Documentation:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/timers/NO_HZ.txt
As I understand from Linux Kernel Documentation, "nohz=off" mode
will be good for heavy loaded OpenVZ servers, and error message
"NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 100" will disappear from log files.
But I can't find any information about
"NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 100" messages
on the main OpenVZ site https://openvz.org/

Best regards,
Gena
