Richard, I've noticed the same problem but am having so many slow-downs and crashes lately (running Vista) that I haven't even thot about trying to trouble-shoot the OOO aspects of what's going on. Hope it's helpful to know you're not alone - beyond that, afraid I don't have much to offer.
