But, Andreas, my Evo was *not* set to any locale other than the default for my version; "English (USA)". where did you get the idea that it was set otherwise? I've checked it two or three times. Am I missing something in your recommendation? Are you maybe saying, in some of your other messages, that I need to temporarily change the locale setting to something *other* than "English (USA)" in order to perform the format change, then change it back to "English (USA)"?? Or is there another locale setting named "English(US)", distinct from the default one of "English (USA)"?
