Help, please

I'm 89 years old, not a tech person.  My daughter insisted on installing
this program.  I had been used to Microsoft.
Recently I must have inadvertently hit a button that makes the bar between
the above items that make everything work and a bar below that showed what
I was doing.  It has disappeared.  I don't know what it is called to look
in "Help" to restore it.
Can you help me, please?
