If using Windows, later versions of Windows 10 and all W 11 versions make it the default to have files saved to OneDrive and synced between the cloud and your pc. Check your OneDrive account's deleted folder and see if the file is there.
On Linux, the ones I'm familiar with, the default is to "delete" the file to the Trash folder. So long as trash hasn't been emptied since the file was deleted it should be in there.
