Unless you have stored your files on some cloud service, such as onedrive, your
files are on your old computer, and need to be transferred from that to your
new computer. Typically OpenOffice files are stored using names of form .odt,
.ods, .odb etc, but you may have overridden this and they could be .doc, .xls
or other forms. If you asre in doubt, it is best to seek local help to do so.

The list of files OpenOffice displays under /File /Recent documents is merely a
list (pointers to their location on that computer); it does not indicate that
the files are stored off-site in a (non-existent) OpenOffice cloud storage
facility.
