Set your page size to 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Set margins as you think appropriate ("nice") for such a page size. Then use /File /Print : Page Layout tab to either print Brochure (if you are going to fold the printout) or 2 pages to a printer sheet. In /File /Print : Properties make sure your printer is set to "Letter", and Horizontal.
