Please > help!! > > Thank you, Jan Jan; What is happening is that the lock file (.~.lock"filename") is not being cleared when you save and close the document. This usually happens either because of a power failure or more likely shutting down or closing the lid on a laptop to soon.There is some internal housecleaning that has to happen such as making sure all the buffers are written to the disk, that cache is cleaned up and lastly the lock file is deleted. If you interrupt this process by shutting the lid on a laptop or powering off the computer etc. That will leave the lock file in place. Always follow proper shutdown procedures for you operating system.
