Autocorrect. I don't know if it is/was publicly distributed, but there was an Afrikaans autocorrect that had a number of Afrikaans words, written without the diacritic marks, that would automatically correct themselves. Possibly the most usefully was the " n " that was automatically replaced by " ʼn ". Along those lines, I also saw a proposal for South African place names to be added. Type in the old name, and it replaced it with the new name, and in parenthesis had "formerly place-name". I don't know if that proposal was ever implemented.
