The update problem is a known issue; version 4.1.7 is the latest version
of Apache OpenOffice. Just go to http://www.openoffice.org/download/ if
you need to download a later version than you have. For extensions,
you'll have to check the individual extension pages for updates.
Since you are not subscribed to this list you may not see all the

go to http://openoffice.apache.org/mailing-lists.html
