dev-subscr...@openoffice.apache.org to subscribe yourself and participate.  
Also, you may want to use the bugzilla to open issues on some of your items.

The users@ list is intended primarily for end-user discussion and assistance.  
Your technical questions are much deeper and are probably not being seen by 
developers here.

PS: Apache OpenOffice is a Win32 x86 implementation and an x86 JRE is required, 
not an x64 one.  See if that makes a difference.
