The reason I switched is that my Excel for MAC 2008 sort of quit. It would only open files as read only. So fas transitioning to open office has been fairly easy. The only issue I have is that when I try to save a file to a flash drive ( memory stick) it won't allow it. I can save it to a file on the desk top
