Sadly, the hash symbols are a well known issue. So it does ring a bell for many
users.

Wade, can you tell us what kind of spam would create this problem, and
what (if anything) could be done to identify and block it? I'm not using
OO, but I suppose this sort of attack could
bollix up any program. Or does it only attack OO?
