How is your list constructed? The various items probably need to be
separate paragraphs for this to be done simply.
o Select the list of paragraphs.
o Go to Table | Insert > | Table... . A table is created with one
paragraph of the text per cell.
o Select all the material again.
o Go to Table | Sort..., choose your required options, and click OK.
The material is sorted but still in the table.
o With the cursor somewhere in the table, go to Table | Convert > |
Table to Text... .
o OK.
Alternatively, you can copy the material temporarily into a
spreadsheet, sort it there, and copy and paste the result back over
the original material in your text document.
