First off I have no idea how I got Open Office on my computer and Microsoft
Office was taken off.
We don't have a clue who did that, have you given anyone access to your
computer while you where away?
But in reality I assume you have upgraded your Operating System or
installed other software that overwritten
your default file associations.
I have been having nothing but problems with the system. My main complaint is
the inability to print. I know my printer is fine because we can print items
off other programs such as a greeting card one but can’t print anything that I
create using Open Office. The printer always sounds like it’s printing
something but the page comes out blank. Sometimes it will print something but
it is so faint you can’t read it and skips words or prints haphazardly. My
printer is set up as the default printer and I have checked everything that I
can with what little IT knowledge I have.
Have you checked also the setting in OpenOffice under Tools --> Options ?
You can find Printer settings under File --> Printer Settings and when
you select File --> Print you have more options.
I suggest you export the output to PDF under File --> Export as PDF and
see if the PDF prints correct.
I know you may not be able to help without being here to see the issue but
maybe you have some ideas for me to check.
Well you could start with telling what version of OpenOffice you have
installed.
What Operating System and version you run OpenOffice on.
What is the Brand and type of printer you are using.
