Hi Larry,

You email header indicates that your operating system is MS Windows, but
it would be helpful if you would tell us which version (eg. XP, Vista,
7, 8, 8.1, 10). You say that you are using Apache OpenOffice 4, but
again it would be useful to know the sub-version (eg. 4.0.0, 4.0.1,
4.1.0, 4.1.1). This information can be found under the "Help -> About
OpenOffice" menu option.

You talk about the "drawing section". By this do you mean the Draw
program, or are you using the drawing function within the Writer word
processor, or the Impress presentation programs?

Are there other objects (eg. boxes, circles, etc.) in the same area as
you are trying to draw your box? If so, try using a new blank
drawing/document/slide to draw a box and tell us what happens when you
right click.

When you right click what is the last entry in the context (pop-up) menu
that appears? This helps us understand where you are right clicking.

Sorry this is all questions and no answers, but what you describe is not
the normal way the software works and I cannot reproduce your issue.

As a courtesy I am cc'ing you, because you are not subscribed to this
mailing list. Please reply to the list users@openoffice.apache.org so
that other subscribers will see your reply and may be able to offer more
advice.

Regards
Dave
