Recently, for no apparent reason, the British dictionary disappeared.
While trying to install a new one I have encountered two problems.
Firstly, whichever way I try to install the downloaded dictionary it
fails. If I try to install by clicking on the downloaded dictionary
file (dict-en(8).oxt) I get the warning “Add Extension(s):
C:/Users....dict-en(7).oxt does not exist". I get the same warning if
I browse from the Extension Manager to the dict-en(8).oxt file! There
appears to be a problem with an old path being retained. Also, the
Extension Manager then becomes unresponsive.
There is temporary a problem with the server.
Please check later.
Secondly, when I try to access the dictionary pages
(http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/search?query=dictionaries) the
page is not accessible. (The connection was reset.) I have tried both
Firefox & Chrome. No other sites are affected.
I have tried both issues repeatedly over a number of days.
With very best wishes, Roger Bradley
P.S. Many thanks to everyone who works on this excellent software -
you do a great job and it is much appreciated. Problems are very rare
and usability is great.
