I just checked with Windows 10. I normally use Windows 7, when I have to use Windows. W10 is different in that the apps do not appear to be automatically added as an app registered to open a file type. Instead, it's necessary to click on Open with > Choose another app and then choose the app from Other Options and also select "Always use this app...". However, even after selecting that, the app will not appear in the Open with list, though it is the default. I guess this is Microsoft's way to discourage competitor software. I suspect W8 is the same as W10 in this respect. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org
