Vivian, It does not appear to be possible to use three decimals in specifying measurements where you want to use them in Apache OpenOffice.
The problem has been noticed and some work was proposed recently. It is not predictable whether and when there might be any provision for finer measurements, however. You might be able to obtain closer precision by trying metric or printer's measures. There is a technical issue about this in the Apache OpenOffice issue repository at <https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=45593>. You'll see there that the issue is 10 years old. - Dennis PS: In a quick look, I did not find any method for setting trim for book-page sizes in the standard features of OpenOffice nor in documentation I have. I recommend searching for extensions and also documentation from other sources on how to prepare documents for publications and eBooks using OpenOffice. Also, check for extensions and templates that might demonstrate this. Also check on <https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/>. Some kits for authors provide templates and downloads that might help satisfy your needs (apart from measurement limitations). Ask more questions on <[email protected]> if you are not finding much. PPS: One rather tricky solution is to use margin settings to have page content be properly formatted, with a background frame to set the trim marks outside of those margins. I do not make publications and have not tried that and do not know what difficulties will arise. Other users probably have better solutions to report to you. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Vivian W. Can I set trim size on the Page? Hope to hear back soon.
