basic reference for openoffice 4.1.1 use??

Hi.  Is there a manual for the basic use of Open Office 4.1.1?  We have 
had Open Office for a few years, and we thought we got it, but, since 
our new computer and an updated OpenOffice, it's been making us nuts.  
It's like it's got a mind of its own.  So, we wondered if there were in 
existence a basic reference to explain how to use the program properly?  
We saw a Dummies book, but it's for a much older version.
