Hello. Please help. I've read various forums and haven't been successful figuring out how to get OpenOffice to work again. I did the update to 4.1.1 and my documents are still there, in the lower left I can see the thumbnail with what the document looks like (microscript and even photos); however, the document won't open. Here is what I've tried.
1. Rebooting 2. Right clicking on various documents to try to open with Open Document Text (nothing happens) 3. Trying to open Apache OpenOffice manually (nothing happens) 4. Uninstalling, reinstalling Apache OpenOffice (numerous times the past few days) 5. Disabling my antivirus/reinstalling Apache OpenOffice 6. Checking task manager with checking processes and making sure soffice (or similar) is not running. (No such program found) 7. All other programs and downloads work fine Please help. It shows that I have this program on my computer, yet it just sits there when I try to open. When reinstalling from http://www.openoffice.org/download/ it will download, then once I get to unpack, it quickly spins and then nothing happens. I truly appreciate any help or suggestions.
